Rock Imperium Festival announces a major expansion for its sixth edition, with an additional Welcome Day on Thursday, 1 July 2027, headlined by MARILYN MANSON. The festival also confirms a new batch of bands for 2, 3 and 4 July, with EVANESCENCE taking centre stage as the latest addition to the festival’s headliners. If you have already purchased your 2027 festival pass before this expansion was announced, it will be valid for all 4 days of the festival, even if it states 3 days.
With one of the most provocative and influential careers in rock and industrial metal over the past decades, MARILYN MANSON will head to Cartagena to headline the opening day of Rock Imperium Festival 2027. A unique figure who has constantly challenged the boundaries of music and aesthetics, creating his own distinctive universe through landmark albums such as ‘Antichrist Superstar’.
Meanwhile, with over two decades of history and some of the most recognisable rock anthems of this century, EVANESCENCE will arrive in Cartagena for a very special performance, featuring songs from their new album, ‘Sanctuary’, alongside the tracks that have defined their career. From the worldwide impact of ‘Fallen’ and songs such as “Bring Me to Life” and “My Immortal” to their more recent material, the band continues to prove its ability to connect with generations of fans.
The festival also adds twelve more bands to its lineup: MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, PARADISE LOST, FEAR FACTORY, ALCEST, I AM MORBID, CALVA LOUISE, SCAR SYMMETRY, MYRATH, STEVE ‘N’ SEAGULLS, GWAR, METAL CHURCH and LEX LÜGER.
This latest batch brings together different generations and styles of metal, from the dark sound of MOTIONLESS IN WHITE and the gothic metal of PARADISE LOST to the industrial power of FEAR FACTORY, the atmospheric soundscapes of ALCEST and I AM MORBID’s celebration of Morbid Angel’s legacy. Also joining the lineup are CALVA LOUISE’s alternative sound, SCAR SYMMETRY’s melodic death metal, MYRATH’s fusion of progressive metal and oriental influences, STEVE ‘N’ SEAGULLS’ bluegrass take on rock and metal, GWAR’s irreverent stage show, the classic heavy metal of METAL CHURCH and LEX LÜGER’s blend of horror and hard rock.
These additions join a lineup that already features major names such as HELLOWEEN, celebrating their 40th anniversary, BRUCE DICKINSON, CHILDREN OF BODOM, MAYHEM and ERIK GRÖNWALL.
Rock Imperium Festival 2027 continues to take shape with a lineup that will once again turn Cartagena into a major meeting point for rock and metal fans. Four days of live music, big names and a unique experience by the Mediterranean Sea.
See you in Cartagena from 1 to 4 July 2027!
